Cost for the 2010/2011 Whitetail deer hunts

  • To make a reservation we need at least 4 adult hunters, but not more than 6 hunters at one time.

  •  The cost for White tail deer hunting for the fall Season of 2010 is $600 per day per person or a total of $1800 for a minimum of three days and three nights. This includes kill fees for two doe, one wild hog and two Rio Grande turkeys and one buck under 12 points. Stay at our  bunk house with 2 hunters per room, all linens towels, soaps, food, etc. included

  • Our buck kill charges are based on size. Spikes are no charge, Ten point bucks or less no charge,  twelve points  $1300. We try not to shoot any deer less than a mature 8 point buck.

  •    Additional days are $500 per person per day.

  •  We have a semi guide assist program. Each hunter is given a complete tour of the ranch, a good aerial photo, GPS coordinates of gates, blinds, feeders, food plots, water, etc. If asked, we make suggestions as to where the latest sightings of deer and turkeys have been reported. We take you to your hunting area and pick you up when you want or when you call. However, we do not guarantee that you will see or get a shot.

  • We do not have a guide to accompany hunters. At one time we did have full time guides, but it came to the point that the additional cost of the guide and the quality of guides that we were able to get was just not worth the expense and the trouble we were having so we lowered the price. Gps units are great help.

  •  I know that most people know it, but, we only use shot guns or bows here for turkeys and usually rifles or bows for deer hunts. However, we do have some hunters that insist on using a shot gun for deer. But, I will tell you- that you have to be pretty close to successfully down a big buck with a shotgun.

  •  I furnish all of the food and, cook a daily supper time meal. I usually cook steak, chicken, ribs, roast, brisket, seafood or what ever that you might want on the outside wood grill and smoker. Depending on the hunters, we keep home made soups and/or chili available all of the time and desserts that will put weight on you.

  • We always keep snacks like baked turkey, fried chicken or fried turkey, cheese, ham, hamburgers, etc. available all of the time plus mucho fruit and sweets, eggs, egg beaters, and bacon and sausage. We are now doing special meals such as low cal, low sugar, special meats, and or what ever if your wife insists on it.

  • If you want specific foods please let us know before you get here and I will have it in stock. I have found that most hunters that tell me that 'I eat anything' ain't really so. It means anything that my wife cooks for me... It is just as easy to cook what you really like, including special diets, and some even low fat diets are available, but you must let us know before you arrive.

  • - When You get up in the mornings, We have a full continental breakfast available for you to eat. If you want a full breakfast you can either fix it yourself or wait until brunch time and the cook will fix it for you. Most hunters like to take a snack lunch  to the field with them.  We have all kinds of foods available for lunches such as sweet rolls, fruit, turkey, ham, eggs, fried chicken, pickled eggs, ribs, barb-b-q, etc. etc.  plus  coffee, tea, hot chocolate bottled water, deep well water, and juices.
  • There is no charge for varmint hunting like fox, coon, bobcats, skunks, and coyotes. We want you to shoot as many as possibe. Extra Wild pigs hunting is available with the deer hunting. These pigs, about 200 lbs or so, make for excellent eating; thus we don't just shoot and leave the pig on the ground. We do have some very large hogs, some more than 450 lbs. These hogs are good for mounting, but, no good to eat.

  • We do not attempt to clean the hogs here, but we take all hog kills to a meat processor near by. They do a pretty good job, but the processing usually cost about $100 when it is all said and done. But, the sausage is excellent. The meat is so lean that we usually have to add some fat to the sausage. The wild pigs, for the most part, only eat roots so the meat is really good.
