The Knaus ranch is located about 12 miles SW of Abilene, Texas and situated on the top of
the Callahan ridge Mountains. The Compound is built at an altitude of about 2400' above sea level.

Our hunts are for groups only. We need a minimum of 3 Hunters and up to a maximum of 6 hunters. All of our rooms are set up for two hunters per room, in a first class bunk house. The bunk house is a well insulated and complete four bedroom, two bath, and one living room house. Everything is furnished including linens, soap, food, transportation, blinds, and feeders. We also have e-mail and web available on broadband.
The cost for White tail deer, Rio Grande Turkey, and wild hog hunting for the fall Season of 2012 is $600 per day per person or a total of $ 1800 each for a minimum of three days and three nights. Additional days are $500 per day per person. This fee includes kill fees for two does, and two Rio Grande turkeys. Our buck kill charges are based on size. Spikes are no charge, eight points or less at free, ten points are $1000, twelve points are $1300. Wild hogs are available at no charge.
We have free varmint hunting that includes, fox, skunks, coons, and bobcats and a few mountain lions. You can varmint hunt about any time you want to.

To make a reservation we need 50% of the total hunt charge paid at the time of making the reservation. I don't use credit cards, but will accept either business or person checks, money orders, etc. The balance of the billing due on your arrival day.
If you must cancel for any reason, we will refund your deposit, in full, up to 60 days prior to your hunt reservation day. If you must cancel after that, we will slide your hunt into the next year's hunting season at no charge, but, there will be no refund of deposit for any reason if a reservation is cancelled within 60 days of your hunt beginning.
