Overview Map Ranch turn-off

The overview map shows the general location of the Knaus Ranch with Abilene, Texas at the center. A detailed map on the right shows the ranch as located just off highway 277 about 13 miles Southwest of Abilene.
Measure the distance from a Shell Service Station just off of the highway in the little town of View as 3.4 miles. Just before the top of the mountain, turn off (South) (left turn coming from View). The turn off is just after you reach the top of the mountain and is to the left (South).
The gate is clearly marked as 'Knaus Ranch' Gate 3. There are 5 more gates along the highway, but, only one with the number 3 on it. Proceed thru that gate up the hills past the FAA facility and the Overland Stage trail sign, then thru the gate marked 'Knaus Ranch upper pasture #2'. Follow that road past the sink hole and rattle snake hill then continue, bearing left at each intersection to a large double gate with a sign marked 'Knaus Home Place' to our camp. The camp has three large green buildings all three have white roofs. If you pass the 'Motor Pool' you have gone too far. Turn back and head toward the houses.
The roads are good. You will have no problem even during rain or snow. The gates are locked with a combination lock. So be sure to Call the ranch house before you arrive and we will give you the combo for the day. The ranch phone number is 325 572 3000 and my cell phone is 325 665 9444
